Sustainable lucky dolls
FSC wood
When we commission new lucky charms, we now opt for sustainability. That's why we think it's important to explain how that works.
We make our lucky charms from FSC-certified wood. This means the wood comes from responsibly managed forests and that for every tree felled for our lucky charms, a new one is planted, ensuring maximum respect for and conservation of the environment.
Artasja Lucky Productions offers wooden lucky charms made from sustainable pine and lotus wood. Each lucky charm is carefully crafted for you. We also offer wooden letter beads and number beads made from sustainable theaceae wood.
The paint and varnish for these sustainable lucky charms are water-based, so fewer chemicals are used. This makes these products much more environmentally friendly.
BSCI certified factories
We don't just use FSC wood; our happy products are also made in factories where no child labor is employed. These factories are BSCI-certified, ensuring safe working conditions and avoiding forced and/or child labor. We believe it's important to contribute to both people and the environment in this way.
The lucky charms are packaged as compactly as possible. We achieve this by using bulk packaging. Previously, the lucky charms were shipped to us in boxes, which contained a lot of "empty" air and took up much more space during transport. By transporting them as efficiently as possible, we reduce CO2 emissions, which is our goal!
CSR
Once the lucky charms arrive in the Netherlands, they're taken to the daycare center for people with disabilities. There, they're processed further. And not just any old thing; they're processed with love. At the daycare center, every lucky charm passes through someone's hands, as everything is counted and packaged for processing. Because it's so close, we can often pick up orders on foot or by bike, sometimes several times a day! The car is only used for mega-orders or to pick up large volumes!
We also consider packaging material recycling during this production line. You'll often find a paper sticker on our shipping boxes to indicate that it's a reused box or packing material. Better for the environment and your wallet!
With our focus on sustainability and environmental awareness, we want to contribute to a better world for future generations. So, by choosing our fair-trade lucky charms, you contribute to the happiness of others, and to a better world for everyone!
How are our lucky dolls made?
Our lucky charms are made with care and craftsmanship by people who handcraft each one individually – true craftsmanship, every single one! They're made with love and attention to detail, making each lucky charm unique. It's happiness for everyone, and we're proud of that!
